If you are an MBA student, you would know what I am about to tell you. And if you are an MBA aspirant then you need to know about it for sure. It is about the work stress in MBA programs in your B-schools.
And what I am going to specifically talk about in this podcast is the War Zone Mindset that students carry with themselves in their B-schools.
It is that thought-process where you think of everyone else in your B-school as an enemy. And that if you have to win, then others have to lose. Also, if they win then you are definitely at a loss.
What is the War Zone Mindset and the Work Stress in MBA?
People wonder “why is MBA so stressful?” or “is MBA from IIM stressful?”.
The answer to is, it depends on what mindset do you have. It is exactly this war zone mindset that adds on to the work stress in MBA for you.
And I don’t blame you for that. That’s because we have been conditioned like that since our school days. There is no leeway for you to be average. There is a winner takes all perception and if you are anything less than that then you would start feeling this pressure from everyone around you.
And the latest life event which heightens this War Zone instinct of ours is the CAT exam. Because for me to enter the B-school, you need to lose your seat.
It could be for this very reason that when an average student makes it to a good B-school, the student is usually extremely overwhelmed. “Is MBA easy for average students?” – they would ask. It doesn’t remain due to the war-zone mindset that adds on to the work stress in MBA.
What is the solution?
However, if you have made it to a B-school, you need to know now that you need to drop this mindset. The reason for that is all of you can win.
In this episode, I tell you about why do I feel so and what are the things that you can do to beat the competition and this work stress in MBA.
What I reveal to you are secrets that will make it seem like there is no competition at all.
