The Power of Mindset for Your MBA Placements. What is the winning mindset for MBA students?

A big part of what your takeaways from your MBA program will be lies in the mindset that you carry. That’s especially true during this time when the placements are just around the corner.

Closely observe what mindset you are usually in. It is likely to be among these three given below. You need to focus on getting the winning mindset for MBA students.

1. 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 – “I am good but my circumstances are really bad and, therefore, I am not able to win.”

Most of the 𝘬𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘬𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘴 of your batch carry this mindset. No wonder you find them complaining about the teaching, the placement process, the placecomm and even their luck.

You are likely to be busy in developing and analyzing theories of why the system and your B-school is designed for you to fail.

Drop this mindset.

2. 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 – “I am no good and, therefore, I will never be able to win.”

This comes from lower self confidence and a series of historic evidences of your ‘failures’.

This mindset could be with you even if you are in a top B-school (by comparing yourself with others) and could also be there if you are in a B-school you didn’t want to be in, in the first place.

Everything is in your control and two-years of MBA is a great time to turn around things.

3. 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 – “I am good and I can win.”

This is the best mindset you can be in. There could be hundreds and thousands of reasons for you to believe that things are wrong and you have no control over your outcomes – but it isn’t true.
